Oral history interviews with Bernice Shaw on 13 July 1972 and 18 April 1973, conducted by John Abraham and Peggy Green for the Utah State Historical Society and California State University, Fullerton, Oral History Program. The subject of the first interview is the Mormon exodus from Mexico to Blanding, Utah. Bernice discusses her childhood in Colonia Diaz, Mexico, the flight to Blanding, Utah, during the Mexican revolution, and her life since. The second interview focuses on a recent trip Bernice had taken to visit Old Mexico. Bound manuscript, 26 pages, indexes included.

Bernice Mortensen Burtenshaw was born the third child in Colonia Diaz, Mexico to Luritz F. Mortensen and Elizabeth Rowley April 1897.
